The Kolkrabba keycap is designed by the team at Archetypemade.com. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the Luna edition of the keycap and I am now even more lucky to own two more very special styles of the Kolkrabba! One is done in an awesome colour shifting paint with pink accents, and the other is a collaborative effort by @archetype x @prime_caps — done in a “space” theme called Deep Field. Both of these models are stunning and it was a lot of fun to take a look at these in hand. I tried doing justice to these via photos, but A video will definitely have to be in order to better demonstrate the paint and style.
As per the usual, I am going to leave some comments and thoughts about the cap! Keycap quality, stem fit, finish. Here we go.
So, truthfully the quality are amazing and previous to this, I had held the Luna in very high regards in terms of quality and detail. I am pleased to say nothing has changed and I still hold these caps to a very high standard. The paint jobs are wicked and the deep field style is really special. Amazing job.
Again, this is where I am always critical about. Like the Luna, the stem fit is fantastic with it being not too tight, but still holds the switch’s stem firmly. It is a taller cap, so this is important incase you swipe at it. If the stem was too loose, it would most definitely come loose.
My final thoughts are what everyone is probably thinking (just like the other cap), this is a damn nice keycap. Make sure to check out @archetype_mk and @prime_caps and great day y’all!
Camera equipment used is a Sony A7rii and a 55mm Sony FE Zeiss f/1.8 with some macro tube extensions. I also use continuous LED panels to set up these shots for lighting.
