Ahh, the most asked about cap on my Instagram. There is something magical, well, nostalgic about these caps. Gengar is my favourite Pokemon of all time and having these on my board is just awesome. They look mean, and sinister and I love that.
As per the usual, I am going to leave some comments and thoughts about the cap! Keycap quality, stem fit, finish. Let’s go!
BOB Keycaps does a wonderful of capturing the spirit and mischievous nature of Gengar. The cap quality is great however there are some odd blemishes and the resin shot done for the eyes isn’t consistent. Mind you, that is a small area to paint, so I’ll give it that. As I said, there are blemishes on the bottom of one of the caps, and some cast blemishes on the back of another. Over all though, these are microscopic details that will otherwise go unnoticed with normal everyday use.
The critical part! And I can safely say, these stems fit great. They go on wonderfully and fit snugly to the stem without have to really shove the keycaps on with excessive force. I like that!
My final thoughts? I’m completely satisfied with them! I do wish the gradient color I have didn’t have the imperfections and minor paint blemishes but I do want to get more Gengars from BOB Keycaps in even more colors. They are seriously amazing caps.
These are typically sold in drops on BOB Keycaps Instagram page! Take a look at more of his work there and keep an eye out for more gengar keycaps being released! If you have questions about anything, he’s really responsive! Let him know you came from my webpage, too!
Camera equipment used is a Sony A7rii and a 55mm Sony FE Zeiss f/1.8 with some macro tube extensions. I also use continuous LED panels to set up these shots for lighting.
